Asian Paints has launched its Diwali campaign, ‘Taiyyari Shuru, Tyohaar Shuru’, celebrating the excitement and togetherness that build up to the festival. Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the campaign features a musical film that brings everyday festive preparations, from cleaning and decorating to painting homes, into the spotlight.

Set to an upbeat tune, the film captures families, friends and relatives coming together to get their homes ready for Diwali. It transforms familiar household activities into moments of celebration, positioning the process of refreshing living spaces as an integral part of the festive experience.

The campaign builds on the idea that Diwali begins well before the actual festival, with preparations creating opportunities for families to reconnect and share moments. Through its narrative, Asian Paints highlights home makeovers as more than a pre-festival routine, presenting them as part of the traditions and excitement associated with the occasion.

Amit Syngle, CEO and Managing Director, Asian Paints, said, “Diwali is not just a festival; it is an emotion that begins to build much before the celebrations officially start. The preparations are an important part of this journey, bringing families and loved ones together through shared tasks, conversations and moments of joy. With ‘Taiyyari Shuru, Tyohaar Shuru’, we wanted to celebrate this beautiful build-up to Diwali and highlight how every preparation, including giving the home a fresh new look with Asian Paints, becomes a part of the festive experience. Through our musical ad film, we have captured the energy, warmth and togetherness that make Diwali preparations so special.”

Sukesh Nayak, Group Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, said, “Diwali isn’t just a few days; it’s a whole season of festivity. And this is our story. With Asian Paints, we wanted to celebrate the joy of the preparations, and the magic and chaos that come with the festival. That chaos has a rhythm, and we set out to capture it in a musical. It’s warm, foot-tapping, and completely familiar.”

With ‘Taiyyari Shuru, Tyohaar Shuru’, Asian Paints shifts the focus from the festival itself to the moments leading up to it. The campaign connects the brand’s home improvement offering with the shared rituals of Diwali, making the preparations themselves a central part of the celebration.
