Meesho has appointed Sudhir Sitapati, former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), as an Independent Director on its board. Sitapati announced his new association through a LinkedIn post.
Sitapati recently concluded his nearly five-year tenure as MD and CEO of Godrej Consumer Products. During his leadership, he oversaw the company’s business and strategic initiatives in the consumer goods sector.
Before joining GCPL, Sitapati spent over two decades at Hindustan Unilever Limited. His career spans more than 25 years in the FMCG industry, with experience across sales, marketing, brand building and general management in Indian and international markets.
His appointment brings experience in consumer goods and business leadership to Meesho’s board. Sitapati also shared his views on the company’s growth journey and expressed his enthusiasm about joining its board under co-founder and CEO Vidit Atrey.
