Kalyan Jewellers has unveiled ‘Kalyan Bhava’, a new brand campaign that reinterprets the traditional Indian wedding blessing by extending its message beyond the bride and groom to include the families and relationships brought together through marriage.

The 105-second film features brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan, alongside Sreeleela in the national version and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the South regional executions. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Akhil Sathyan, the campaign has been shot by veteran cinematographer and director Rajeev Menon.

At the heart of the campaign is the idea that a wedding represents more than the union of two individuals. Traditional blessings such as ‘Sowbhagyawati Bhava’ and ‘Ayushman Bhava’ are typically addressed to the bride and groom. ‘Kalyan Bhava’, meaning ‘May all that is good be yours’, expands this sentiment into a collective wish for happiness, prosperity and well-being for everyone connected through the marriage.

Set amid ancient ruins deep within a forest, the film follows a young girl who discovers a mysterious golden bangle. As a temple bell rings, Bachchan appears as a mystical guide, encouraging her to look through the ornament. She is transported into a vision of her future wedding, surrounded by family and loved ones in a setting filled with music and celebration.

As the festivities reach their peak, the bell rings once again and the mystical figure returns to deliver the blessing. The film concludes with a chorus of ‘Kalyan Bhava’, reinforcing the campaign’s message of extending auspicious wishes to the couple and their families.

Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Kalyan Jewellers, said, “In our culture, a wedding is as much about heartfelt blessings as it is about celebration. It marks a new beginning for the couple while bringing two families, their traditions, and their shared dreams together. Through our signature ‘Muhurat’ line, Kalyan Jewellers has always been part of these celebrations. With ‘Kalyan Bhava’, we introduce a larger brand thought – extending the wedding blessing beyond the couple to encompass every relation a marriage forms. Since ‘Kalyan’ inherently signifies auspiciousness and prosperity, ‘Kalyan Bhava’ becomes a natural expression of our purpose: a blessing built directly into our name.”

The film also features pieces from the brand’s signature Muhurat bridal jewellery collection, including natural diamond and gemstone jewellery styled with contemporary interpretations of traditional Indian wedding attire.

The multimedia campaign will roll out across platforms during the festive and wedding season, bringing the brand’s bridal jewellery offering together with a message that places family, relationships and shared blessings at the centre of wedding celebrations.

With ‘Kalyan Bhava’, Kalyan Jewellers builds its campaign around a cultural insight that gives its brand name a central role in the storytelling, turning a traditional wedding blessing into a broader expression of togetherness and prosperity.
