Homegrown sneaker brand Comet has raised ₹100 crore in a Series B funding round led by Verlinvest, with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from angel investors Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Ajit Mohan and Anand Ahuja.

Comet plans to deploy the fresh capital towards expanding its retail footprint, strengthening its product and technology capabilities, and increasing investments in research and development. The company will also invest in proprietary sole moulds and tooling to support the development and launch of new footwear designs. The brand is expected to reach 10 stores this month and is targeting 20 outlets by the end of FY27. The expansion is aimed at building a stronger offline presence while developing a wider omnichannel network across India.
