Samsung India Electronics closed FY26 with a 36% drop in consolidated profit to ₹7,228.10 crore, even as its revenue from operations grew 1.2% to ₹1,11,183.40 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, according to a Registrar of Companies filing accessed through business intelligence platform Tofler. The company’s total consolidated income, including other income, stood at ₹1,14,738.60 crore during the year, compared with ₹1,11,183.40 crore in operating revenue and ₹11,287.50 crore in profit in FY25. Samsung’s mobile business continued to account for the largest share of its reported revenue. The Handheld Phones business, which includes smartphones and accessories, generated ₹81,472.20 crore in FY26, down 1.35% from ₹82,595 crore a year earlier.

Other parts of the consumer electronics portfolio moved in the opposite direction. Home Appliances revenue increased 3.52% to ₹12,240.60 crore, driven by products including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and microwave ovens. The audio-visual segment, which includes televisions and soundbars, recorded stronger growth of 8.5%, taking revenue to ₹8,055.90 crore from ₹7,427 crore in FY25. Software Development and Export operations also grew 6.85% to ₹2,430.10 crore. At the same time, Samsung India’s royalty payment to its South Korean parent rose 7.2% to ₹3,474 crore. The payment covers technical know-how, technology and manufacturing assistance provided by the parent for products manufactured in India.

Marketing continues across Galaxy and AI

The financial results come amid continued marketing activity across Samsung’s smartphone and consumer electronics businesses. In January 2026, Samsung’s India-focused #WithGalaxy photography initiative for the Galaxy S series generated 31,331 submissions and set two Guinness World Records, according to the company. The campaign ran from December 30, 2025 to January 26, 2026 and encouraged consumers across India to participate through photography. Samsung has also continued to build its communication around artificial intelligence and the wider Galaxy ecosystem, with campaigns and consumer initiatives supporting the Galaxy S26 series alongside its growing portfolio of AI-enabled consumer electronics.

The company’s India marketing calendar has also included the 2026 range of Bespoke AI appliances and the Galaxy S26 FE, among other product launches. Beyond consumer campaigns, Samsung has continued its skills and technology initiatives in India. In September 2026, the company launched the latest edition of Samsung Innovation Campus in Karnataka, targeting 2,000 young people for AI training during the year. The programme is part of a wider target to train 20,000 youth across 10 states through the 2026 edition.

Samsung continues to operate across smartphones, tablets, televisions, home appliances and personal computing in India, while the country also serves as a manufacturing and export base for the company. Its R&D presence includes facilities in Bengaluru, Noida and the Delhi-NCR region.
