The board of directors of JSW MG Motor India has appointed Parth Jindal as chairman, effective immediately.
Jindal has been part of the company’s board since the formation of the joint venture between JSW Group and MG Motor. He has been involved in the company’s product strategy, manufacturing expansion and localisation programme.
Jindal currently serves as managing director of JSW Cement and JSW Paints, chairman of JSW Dulux and JSW MG Motor India, and director on the board of JSW Energy.
He is also the founder of JSW Sports and chairman and co-owner of the Delhi Capitals.
The appointment adds to Jindal’s leadership responsibilities across the JSW Group, with his new role at JSW MG Motor India coming as the company continues to build its presence in India’s passenger vehicle market.
