Cadbury Celebrations has launched its Diwali 2026 advertising campaign, ‘#ThisNokJhokIsSweet’. The campaign explores how festive gifting can help neighbours overcome everyday disagreements. It also highlights the role of small gestures in rebuilding relationships during Diwali.
Turning Neighbourhood Disagreements Into Festive Connections
The campaign draws on familiar disputes over parking, shared spaces, pets, late-night parties and cricket games. However, it shows how Diwali can create an opportunity to set differences aside. A box of Cadbury Celebrations becomes a simple gesture of goodwill, helping neighbours reconnect.
Vinay Subramanyam, Vice President – Marketing, Mondelez India, said, “Diwali has always been a time to pause, reconnect and celebrate the people around us. Our latest campaign tries to depict the beautiful and unique relationship that we Indians have with our neighbours – we bicker, we banter but underneath, there is bonhomie, especially during Diwali. We are pleased to launch Milky Mithai under the brand Cadbury Celebrations, which is a magical coming together of fine chocolate with the taste of iconic Indian Mithais.”
Ogilvy India and WPP Media Support the Campaign
Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, said, “There’s enough bitterness in the world but a little sweetness has the power to go a long way. With our latest Diwali campaign, we wanted to celebrate the familiar, playful quarrels between neighbours – and how quickly they can melt into warmth when someone makes the first move. It doesn’t take much to soften a hard feeling: a knock on the door, a plate of Meetha, a little generosity. In a world that can feel divided, that small sweetness can bring us closer.”
Meanwhile, Shekhar Banerjee, President, Client Solutions, South Asia, WPP Media, said, “Diwali isn’t just one celebration it’s a whole week of distinct rituals, reunions, nostalgia, gratitude, mending old squabbles and multiple moments of gifting & consumption. We are using creator ecosystem and turning these moments into seamless, shoppable gift guides that make it effortless to pick a Cadbury Celebrations pack tailored to every unique moment & bond.”
Festive Range Introduces Mithai-Inspired Chocolates
Alongside the campaign, Cadbury Celebrations has expanded its festive portfolio with new mithai-inspired chocolates. The range includes Milky Mithai Squares in Kesar Pista flavour. Additionally, Choco Mithai Squares are available in Crispi Rabdi, Badam Barfi and Kesar Badam flavours.
The wider portfolio also features assorted chocolate packs, Silk Selections, Bournville Selections and Rich Dry Fruit Jars. These products come in premium gold-accented packaging. Prices start at under ₹100, while premium options range from ₹250 to ₹575.
Campaign Rolls Out Across Multiple Channels
The campaign will run across television, digital, social media and in-store touchpoints. Through this integrated approach, Cadbury Celebrations aims to connect festive storytelling with gifting choices for different relationships and occasions.
Overall, ‘#ThisNokJhokIsSweet’ places neighbourly relationships at the centre of Cadbury Celebrations’ Diwali messaging. By linking everyday disagreements with thoughtful gifting, the campaign presents sweetness as a way to bring people closer during the festive season.
