Bumble has launched Bee Line India, a social-first series exploring modern dating dilemmas. The series features Janhvi Kapoor, Manika Batra and rapper Reble. Each brings a different perspective to questions submitted by daters across India.

The series launched on October 17. It begins with Kapoor, followed by episodes featuring Reble and Batra. Together, the three hosts address first-date expectations, red flags and the unwritten rules of meeting someone new.

Janhvi Kapoor brings candid advice to modern dating

As the first host, Kapoor shares her views on dating expectations and relationship dilemmas. Her approach draws on her experience as the friend people turn to for advice.

“I’m a hopeless romantic with very high standards, which is a lot. So, I’ve always been the friend people call about their dating dilemmas. What I love about Bee Line is the questions come straight from real people. One of them was so unhinged I had to phone my sister for a second opinion. But most of the time they just need someone to say the honest things out loud, so whoever’s calling feels heard and hopefully a bit more sorted. And with the other two picking up their own calls and answering in their own way, it makes for a much more fun watch,” Kapoor said.

Manika Batra and Reble offer different perspectives

Three-time table tennis Olympian Manika Batra brings a perspective shaped by competitive sport. She highlights independence, individuality and the importance of finding a supportive partner.

“Coming from the world of sport, I’ve always understood the importance of focus, independence and knowing what you want. The best coaches back you without trying to change you, and the right person is the same. Someone who respects who you are and supports the person you are becoming, rather than asking you to compromise who you are. Doing Bee Line alongside two women from very different worlds was a good reminder that there isn’t one definition of dating, and that’s what makes the conversation so interesting,” Batra said.

Meanwhile, rapper Reble encourages daters to communicate honestly rather than hide their feelings. Her advice focuses on embracing individuality and being prepared for straightforward answers.

“I feel like sometimes we try way too hard to look unbothered when really we’re just overthinking it all in our heads. I do think it’s always better to just ask the honest questions and be prepared for the answers, even if sometimes it’s not exactly what you wanna hear. That’s what I like about Bee Line. It’s just honest dating advice. No overcomplicating things, no sugar-coated answers. Just telling you how it is,” Reble said.

Bumble expands its international dating advice series

Bee Line India builds on the series’ US debut earlier this summer. It also follows its expansion into Australia last month, where Grammy-nominated artist Troye Sivan shared his perspective on dating.

Through the India series, Bumble brings everyday dating questions into open conversations. The format draws on real-life scenarios and the distinct experiences of its hosts. As a result, it offers audiences different perspectives on the challenges of modern dating.
