The three-part campaign follows a newlywed bride through festive preparations, family rituals and the moonrise ceremony, highlighting the emotional significance of her first Karwa Chauth.
Libas has unveiled Lal Ishq – A Celebration of First Karwa Chauth, a campaign centred on the cultural traditions and personal significance of a newlywed bride’s first Karwa Chauth. The campaign connects the occasion’s rituals with the role of Indian wear in festive preparations and celebrations.
Three chapters capture the occasion
The campaign unfolds across three parts, following the bride through key moments of the festival. It begins with her festive transformation, featuring traditional shringar and dressing up for the occasion.
The second chapter focuses on the rituals and pooja that bring families together. The final part captures the much-anticipated moonrise and the traditional sieve ritual shared by the bride and her husband, marking a memorable milestone in their journey together.
Through these moments, Lal Ishq places clothing within the wider cultural experience of Karwa Chauth, connecting festive fashion with the customs, relationships and memories associated with the occasion.
Libas links fashion with cultural milestones
Nisha Khatri, head of Marketing at Libas, said, “At Libas, we see Indian wear as an integral part of how women experience and express themselves during important cultural occasions. Lal Ishq brings this thought to life through a milestone that holds particular significance for a newlywed bride. By capturing the journey from festive preparations to the rituals of Karwa Chauth, we wanted to show how clothing becomes part of the experience and the memories associated with it. The campaign reflects our approach to making culturally rooted fashion relevant to the contemporary Indian woman.”
With Lal Ishq, Libas continues to connect its festive fashion offering with culturally significant occasions, presenting Indian wear as part of how consumers prepare for and experience celebrations.
The campaign’s strength lies in linking festive clothing to a personal milestone rather than presenting it solely as a fashion choice. By structuring the story around recognisable Karwa Chauth rituals, Libas gives its festive offering a clear cultural context.
