Raipur-based smart TV brand Starshine TV has appointed actor Vicky Kaushal as its brand ambassador and launched its first major national campaign, highlighting its focus on quality, smart features and affordability.
Conceived and produced by Mumbai-based advertising agency Oberoi IBC, the campaign marks a key step in the brand’s efforts to strengthen its presence in India’s television market. The association with Kaushal brings a recognisable face to Starshine TV as it seeks to reach consumers across the country.
The campaign comes amid growth in India’s connected TV market. According to the FICCI-EY Media Report 2026, the number of active connected TVs in India increased from 30 million in 2024 to 40 million in 2025, reflecting the expanding adoption of connected viewing.
Oberoi IBC has previously worked on campaigns for brands including Flair Pens, Priya Gold Biscuits, Goldiee Masale and Zed Black Agarbatti.
Vijay Singh, Director, Oberoi IBC, said, “The smart TV industry in India is not just growing, it is transforming how India watches content. With the growing demand, cost advantage and the great quality at which Starshine is coming into the market, we are confident of creating a disruptive brand story. Starshine is a true Make-in-India brand from Raipur with national ambitions. With Vicky Kaushal’s mass appeal and credibility, we should generate a good market share in the television industry. We are targeting an 5% market share in the next four years.”
Through the campaign, Starshine TV aims to build brand recognition and strengthen its position in India’s competitive smart television market, with a stated target of achieving a 5% market share over the next four years.
