Nike Sportswear has launched a new campaign featuring LISA of BLACKPINK, celebrating her journey from a K-pop performer to a global figure in music, dance, acting and fashion. The campaign spotlights the brand’s Moon Shoe silhouette, connecting the artist’s evolution with Nike’s legacy of footwear innovation.
Born LALISA MANOBAL, the Thai-born artist won an audition for YG Entertainment at the age of 14 and left her home country to train as a K-pop performer. By 2026, she had expanded her presence across entertainment and fashion, establishing herself as an international star and Nike partner.
The campaign draws parallels between LISA’s career trajectory and the origins of the Moon Shoe, one of Nike’s early footwear innovations. Developed from an idea by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman in his kitchen, the shoe helped establish the brand’s reputation for experimentation and product development, laying the foundation for subsequent footwear innovations.
For the campaign, LISA appears wearing the Moon Shoe’s sleek, fashion-forward silhouette in visuals that depict her reaching the moon, leaving her shoe print on its surface, planting the Nike Sportswear (NSW) flag and standing atop a lunar podium. The imagery uses the moon as a visual metaphor for ambition, achievement and pushing beyond established limits.
The campaign soundtrack features “Mister Magic Moon”, a 1964 track by The Kim Sisters with Joe Tanner’s Orchestra. The internationally successful Korean musical group achieved global recognition before the term K-pop came into common use.
By bringing together the Moon Shoe’s history and LISA’s rise as a global cultural figure, Nike Sportswear connects its heritage of experimentation with the artist’s journey across entertainment and fashion. The campaign positions the footwear silhouette within a broader narrative about ambition, creative evolution and cultural influence.
