Leo’s nearly five-minute film brings Rohit Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Samay Raina and other familiar faces into a repeating 24-hour cycle where every reset leads to a new possibility. Flipkart is giving the time-loop trope a festive shopping spin for its upcoming Big Billion Days Sale, putting one man through the same 24-hour cycle with a different outcome each time.
Created by Leo, the nearly five-minute film follows the protagonist as his day keeps repeating, with each cycle opening up a new set of situations and characters. The ensemble includes Rohit Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Aditya Srivastava, known for playing senior inspector Abhijeet in CID, along with Sreeleela, Aneet padda, Samay Raina, Geni Kamki and Agu Stanley Chiedozie, among others. Instead of relying on one continuous storyline, the film is built around a collection of smaller scenarios that come together within the larger time-loop narrative. The structure also gives Flipkart multiple pieces of content to work with, as individual moments from the film are being adapted into standalone social media edits.
The format builds on Leo’s work for Flipkart’s Big Billion Days campaign last year, which similarly brought a large celebrity ensemble into a single campaign. The previous cast included Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Sreeleela, Farah Khan, celebrity chef Dilip and boAt co-founder Aman Gupta, among others.
For Leo chief creative officer Sachin Kamble, the challenge with a large celebrity cast goes beyond simply getting recognisable names into the film. Each personality needs a role that fits naturally within the story. He said the agency spent nearly three months writing and revising the film while coordinating with Flipkart and the celebrities’ schedules before production.
The campaign also makes a notable bet on long-form advertising. At a time when brands are increasingly designing for shorter attention spans, Flipkart’s main Big Billion Days film runs for almost five minutes. Its fragmented storytelling, however, allows the campaign to break that runtime into shorter pieces for digital platforms. The approach follows a broader trend in festive and event-led advertising, where brands use large ensembles to create multiple moments and extend a single campaign across formats. Dream11’s IPL 2025 campaign by Tilt Brand Solutions, for instance, brought together Indian cricketers and actors including Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. With its 2026 Big Billion Days campaign, Flipkart combines the familiarity of a time-loop narrative with a sizeable celebrity cast, using each reset to create another route into the sale story.
